What is an ideal client and why is it important to know this?
An ideal client is someone who finds the perfect solution to her problems or needs through the services you provide. Your ideal client will be loyal to you and your company frequently uses or buys your products or services, and is likely to recommend you to her friends and colleagues.
It’s very important to find out EXACTLY who your ideal client is so that you can tailor your services to solve her problems and meet her needs. This will keep her coming back for more with each offer you have.
How do you achieve this? Follow these 5 simple steps:
It’s important to niche down because then you get really specific about what you offer. So ask yourself what are you passionate about? In which area do you have many years of experience and expertise?
The secret tip: The riches are in the niches. By getting clear on these two questions you are able to build the foundations of your course that you will offer your ideal client. You will also be able to get clear on who you want to work with by niching down because your ideal client will be storngly attracted to your niche.
Don’t assume you know what your client wants and needs. Rather ask what her. Ask your ideal client what she needs help with? What is she struggling with? What is her big dream and why? By asking these questions you hear straight from the horse’s mouth and you can create your course accordingly.
The secret tip: You can create a course that solves her problems. This helps you avoid creating something you THINK she needs and then she never buys from you.
3. Get clarity:
By asking these questions, you yourself get clear on who you want to work with. Sometimes the client might seem like your ideal client, but by interviewing her you might find that you aren’t a great fit for each other. It’s best to work with the client that lights you up.
The secret tip: Ask a lot of questions. This is where you can suggest someone else’s services if she isn’t a great fit. Or you get to work with your dream clients, you help create their ideal lifestyle and bring their dreams to life. It’s a win-win situation.
4. Make an Offer:
Create an elevator pitch to your ideal client by offering what she needs and wants. Incorporate this into your sales funnel and put it in front of your ideal client. Your ideal client will most likely buy your services if you offer what she needs.
The secret tip: Your ideal client has to hear and see your content 7-8 times before she will buy from you! Make sure you offer what truly will solve her problem and be consistent in your marketing.
5. Cultivate and follow up:
Give a lot of free content that is in line with solving her problems. You do this by building trust and forming a relationship. How do you build trust you may ask?
The secret tip: Facts tell stories sell. Share your stories with your ideal client. People buy from people because they can relate to you. Your ideal client wants to see and hear about your end result or other clients you’ve helped in the past. That makes her click the buy button and finish the purchase.
